A large oval lapis lazuli cabochon, deep blue with fine gold pyrite flecks running through it, is held in a simple bezel with a plain bail. There's no additional detailing here — the stone's size and natural mineral markings are left to stand on their own against the polished gold edge. Lapis lazuli's flecked surface means no two stones look quite alike, and this one carries an especially rich, saturated tone. A substantial statement pendant built around one striking stone.
