Product Details

A smooth, pebble-shaped pink opal forms the body of this pendant, its pale rose colour left uninterrupted apart from a single oval ruby set slightly off-centre. The opal's organic, rounded outline is left as found rather than cut into a symmetrical shape, so the piece reads as a natural form rather than a faceted gem. The ruby's deeper red gives the pendant a single point of contrast and colour depth. Set in 18K gold with a simple bail, it's a quiet, single-stone pendant built around texture as much as colour.

Gross Weight: 3.161 g
Net Weight: 0.503 g
Stone Weight: 12.640 ct (Pink Opal), 0.650 ct (Ruby)
Jewellery Type: Pendant
Gemstone: Pink Opal and Ruby
Design: An organic pebble-shaped pink opal set with a single oval ruby accent
Certification: IGS Certified Gemstones
Base Metal: 18K Gold

Pink opal is valued for its soft, consistent colour rather than transparency, which is why it's often left in a rounded, natural outline rather than faceted. Hand-set in 18K gold at Qala's Jaipur workshop, the ruby accent is placed to complement the opal's shape rather than centre it. A pendant that favours natural form over symmetry.
