Product Details

A rounded-square slab of pink opal forms the base of this pendant, with a single oval tanzanite bezel-set at its centre. The pink opal's soft, milky colour sits in contrast to the tanzanite's deeper violet-blue, and the small bail keeps the piece close and understated. There's no additional stone detailing, so the two-tone pairing carries the design on its own. Set in 18K gold, it's a soft-toned pendant for someone drawn to gentle colour contrast over sparkle.

Pairing an opaque stone like pink opal with a transparent one such as tanzanite is a combination Qala's Jaipur workshop turns to when a piece calls for soft contrast rather than bold colour blocking. Each bezel is set by hand to keep the tanzanite centred without disturbing the opal slab beneath it. A gentle, two-stone pendant built for subtlety.
